Person-Centred Therapy
Person-centred therapy, also known as client-centred counselling, is a type of humanistic approach. It explores the ways individuals perceive themselves consciously, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas. The core purpose of person-centred therapy is to help us self-actualise - fulfil our potential and capabilities. This approach facilitates personal growth by allowing you to explore and utilise your strengths. Person-centred therapy can help you reconnect with your values and sense of self-worth, enabling you to find your way to move forward.
Relational Therapy
Relational therapy is a therapeutic approach based on the idea that mutually satisfying relationships with others are necessary for one’s emotional well-being. This type of psychotherapy focuses on how social and familial factors relate to the relationships in a person’s life. The goal is to develop new ideas and thinking patterns about relationships and learn about boundaries, compromise, and healthy balance in relationships. The focus is on stronger relationships as a foundation for a fulfilling life and overall well-being.
Humanistic Therapy
Humanistic therapy focuses on your capacity to make rational choices and reach your full potential. You take the lead in the conversation enabling you to discover your true authentic self and find solutions for your concerns. Humanistic therapy adopts a holistic approach that focuses on free will, human potential, and self-discovery. It aims to help you develop a strong and healthy sense of self, explore your feelings, find meaning, and focus on your strengths.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on helping you separate problems from your identity. It encourages you to construct your personal narratives, emphasising your strengths, past victories, and life’s purpose. By reframing your stories and externalising issues, you can gain insight and become an expert in your own life.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy helps you understand how your current feelings and behaviour are shaped by your past experiences and your unconscious mind and impulses. You are encouraged to talk freely and openly about your childhood and relationship with your parents. This can help you understand what you’re feeling now, why you behave in a certain way and how this affects your relationships.
